Conquest Room ??

My husband and I are booked on the Conquest for 4/15/07 in room 7376 balcony (our first). We chose this room because there are rooms above and below, no public areas. It is a little farther back than I like but what the heck! Anyone ever stay in this room or is there anything we should know?

We've done the Conquest twice, you'll love it!:) I would rather be a little towards the back than in the front. The front tends to have more movement and in some lower deck cabins they've reported being able to hear the engine.

You are only two decks down from the buffet/pool area. You are also only two decks above the casino/dance club area. That's great because if the wait for the elevators is getting real bad you can just use the stairs.;)

One good thing about your location is that formal dining is just one deck up. So if the wait for the elevators is really bad, you can just go up one flight of stairs and be in the dining room area.:) Also, when you get off for excursions it's usually in the main lobby area which is also only one deck up for you. When the ship docks in port the elevators are usually jam packed with people trying to get down to the lower decks so they can get off of the ship. At least you'll be able to avoid that nightmare.;)

The only negative that I see is that you're right below the galley where the chefs prepare the food for the day. So there might be some noise in there early in the morning when preparing breakfast and also during the lunch/dinner rush. I don't know if you would be able to hear blenders, mixers, shouting to one another, etc. You might post your room number in your own new thread and see if you get any responses. Be sure to put the name of the ship as well as the room number in your title. Good luck!
