Conquest cruise -- foreign currency needed?

We will be taking the Conquest to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. I have read that American money is readily accepted in those countries so we don't need foreign currency. However, one of my traveling companions is concerned about this question and she is not sure if she should get foreign currency before we leave. I told her I would post this questions just to make sure. So...do we need any foreign currency for this cruise?

Thanks, Kathi

As mentioned above, they love US currency. When we were in Georgetown, GC we stopped at a convenience store to by a coke. They gave us our change in Cayman money. The kids loved it and took it home as a souvenir.

As stated, no exchange needed. Just make sure to stop by the pursers desk and get plenty of small bills before going ashore. In Jamaica and Mexico you'll want exact change. In Cayman they'll give you Cayman change. Thats fine for small purchases to keep as a souvenier but you wouldn't want to hand over a $100 for a $60 purchase or anything.
