Beach choice to make

Unless you are a college kid wanting to get wasted on all you can drink, those packages are a rip off for this port.

Just get off the ship, walk to the port pool area, look for the taxis/vans that take you to the fishing village (Mahajual) for $3 each and just walk down the street and take your pick. You don't have to pay to go to any of the small beach clubs (it's all one stretch of beach with different beach "clubs" every few hundred feet) and you can use umbrellas and chairs for free as long as you buy something. Good food, cheap drinks, you can rent jet skis, snorkeling equipment, etc.

Many people go to the Cat's Meow, Pez Quadro (last one at the end of the street) or a number of other places.

This is one of my favorite ports! Don't stay in the pool area, head to the beach, it's great!
