Delivery of Passports

:confused: I understand that the passports are delivered via priority mail. But my question is....Does the mailperson just leave them in mailbox or do you have to sign for them?

Also has anyone seen an expected delivery date on the passport website since they disappeared earlier this week?

We applied for our passports in late October, and they arrived about a week before the estimated delivery date (took about 5 weeks). They were just delivered to the mailbox.

When I applied for my passport 2 years ago we did not use the expedited service and everything arrived via regular 1st class mail, not priority.

I mailed my application with $60 to expedite on 2/20. I received my passport in the mailbox yesterday (3/23) and it was mailed priority mail.

We mailed our renewal on 1/25. It arrived yesterday in our mailbox, priority mail.

Mine also arrived regular mail although I did not expedite because we applied in early January for an April trip. And it only took 10 days. So glad I got them 2 years ago before the big rush.

Our expected delivery dates disappeared as well. Now we're wondering whether or not to send of for another copy of our birth certificates? Probably will just to be safe.
