Noordam from New York

I did, last October. For the answer to your questions, ask Mother Nature. We had smooth seas going down, and smooth one day, moderate (my measure -- slightly rough to others) on the second. The ship rode well. You really don't know what you are going to get until it happens.

Has anyone taken the Noordam from New York to Caribbean in the fall (October). Are the seas rough on the two sea days each way to get there?

As TomC said, ask Mother Nature!

You just never can tell. We were on the Noordam in February and had very calm seas for the most part. The report on the on-ship TV characterized them as "Rough," but it didn't seem rough to us (first and last sea days).

However, two cruises prior to ours, the seas were so rough that the boat was three or four hours late coming into New York.

You just never can tell....that's part of the fun, I guess!

And, of course, October is still hurricane season.

Just because it's smooth one day doesn't mean it's gonna be the smooth next week/next year/tomorrow...

Like we say in the brokerage biz:

Past performance is no guarantee of future results.
