onedog Posted March 26, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 26, 2007 Greetings! We are sailiing on the Star to the Mexican Riviera on 3/30/07. Can't wait. We are traveling with our 2 young children and my parents and I was trying to find menus for the Star main dining room? As we are traveling with the kids, I'd hate to miss a special meal in the main dining room because the kids wanted pizza & hotdogs near the pool. Others have posted thier favorite dishes, but I was wondering what days specific foods are served (i.e. Prime Rib on mondays, lobster tails on tuesdays, baked alaska on saturdays, etc.). Are the menus posted anywhere on the ship for the entire week so that we can plan on when we may want to try one of the specialty restaurants instead of eating in the dining room? Is the breakfast in the main dining room a fixed menu every day or does it vary from day to day? Also, what are the hours for room service? Is there a service charge for room service. The last two cruises we were on were with RC and IIRC, there was no additinoal charge for room service. Thanks, Onedog

You can ask to look at the week's menus at the reservations' desk. Is the breakfast in the main dining room a fixed menu every day or does it vary from day to day? Yess, it's basically the same the entire week. The only differences I've seen have been on which pastries are availabe each day. Also, what are the hours for room service? Is there a service charge for room service. Room service is free, and is available for 24 hours each day. You should tip the delivery person a small amount.
