Marriott Rome Park Hotel

Hi All,

 

Just wondered if anyone has stayed at the Marriott Rome Park Hotel outside of Rome? We are staying there pre-cruise in June and know the hotel offers free shuttle every two hours from 8 am to 11 pm into the city's Piazza Cavour. Just curious as to how dependable is the shuttle?

 

Also, how does the taxi work from the airport? Is it like here in the US - go outside to the curb?

 

Any information would be appreciated :-)

Can't help with the hotel,but the taxi you will get at the airport will be at a taxi stand and you will line up...do NOT use any taxi other than one from the stand or if anyone comes to you and says they will take you..don't as you more than likely will get ripped off.In most Europran cities the legal cabs are at stands.

We are staying there before and after our June 30th cruise. If you go to the Trip Advisor web site, there is a reviewer who has posted several pictures of the room and hotel. It looks very nice, but everyone says its in the middle of nowhere.
