NY City buys space for third berth at Brooklyn Pier

As most people know they are using pier 12 Brooklyn for the current cruise port. Pier 10(where the cranes are) is scheduled to be the second Brooklyn Cruise Ship pier and its been reported that NY City has purchased the Pier immediately to the south(where Snapple now has a storage site) for $40,000,000 dollars. The site will need to be rebuilt and expect that it will be a number of years before its available for ships. I think this is in keeping with the fact that the Manhattan piers are being reduced from 5 berths to 3.
