Balcony Upgrade as a Gift

Hello everyone..

 

My parents are leaving for the Crown Princess 10 day cruise in May..it will be my dad's birthday and it will also be Mother's Day while they are there. I have been racking my brain to find a perfect gift for them. I was thinking spa treatments, casino gifts, wine etc. Then it dawned on me that they would never spend the money on a balcony cabin so I would like to do that for them..

 

My dilemma is where do I start? I know their travel agent contact info and have their confirmation numbers for the cruise etc. Should I go thru the agent or Princess.

 

Just looking to see if anyone can help with any advice on what my options would be.

If it's booked thru a TA, Princess won't deal with you but will send you back to the TA

Don't call Princess. They cannot help you, just refer you back to the Agency. ;)

 

When a booking is through a T.A., you must make all changes through the T.A. :D

It sounds like a great plan, but I would move quickly as possible on this. Balcony cabins can sell out and then there would be no way to upgrade this booking. If you plan to do it, I would get on the phone to the TA ASAP.

 

Very nice idea to upgrade your parents, a lot of thought went into this and I am sure they would be thrilled to find out when they boarded the ship.
