Canadian Cruiser51 Posted April 1, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2007 It is simple, go to http://earth.google.com/ download the free version. Then fly to the places you have been, or going to,or just dreamin of. The learning curve is slight. 20 more sleeps......hmmmm how many sheep will that be i wonder. I hope this helps in your research Frederick :D

NorcalGuy Posted April 4, 2007 #4 Share Posted April 4, 2007 Yes! It's a wonderful experience. I recently got addicted to Google earth, even staying late after my work day to cruise it. It's very relaxing as well. A beautiful and realistic experience. Cruisers will LOVE seeing all their past and future ports!
piper28 Posted April 4, 2007 #5 Share Posted April 4, 2007 Better yet, if you have a gps on your trip, export your logs in gpx format, and drop those into google earth to see where you've been. (And no, you don't need to get the paid for version of google earth to do this.)
B40 Tha Cruisa Posted April 4, 2007 #6 Share Posted April 4, 2007 I was also addicted, I have looked everywhere!
chasetf Posted April 4, 2007 #7 Share Posted April 4, 2007 I is also great to show folks where you have been or where you plan on being. I have even talked with family / friends on the phone and directed them to specific spots or followed them as they gave me directions.....:D

That would be an awesome (and easy) way to plot into Google Earth. Actually, I can probably borrow one now that I think about it. Thanks for the tip.
