Bingo on NCL Hawaii Ships?

Well I guess that I'll have to do without the Bingo!!!

Just can't pass up Bingo on cruise ships anymore due to the fact that the last two cruises one on RCI won the (big) jackpot on the last day of the cruise which paid for my next cruise last year on NCL to Alaska where again won several games that end up paying for my on board ship account.

Never won anything in my life before so was very greatful and thankful and excited that I decided to play Bingo.

Oh, well I just have to wait til the next cruise.

They did bingo on the NCL wind cruises from hawaii to fanning (kiribati). Just the sea days out of hawaiian waters. I wonder if the pride of aloha will do that on the similar 11 day itineraries to fanning starting september 2007

I read a certain senators wife is on the board of the previos cruise outfit and has been alegedly blocking casino onboard amogst causing other problems for ncl in hawaii:mad:  to the detriment of all of us cruisers.

Would you mind citing what you read? I've not heard anything like that. In fact, the residents of Hawaii have had numerous opportunities to persuade their congress members (state and fed) to legalize gambling, but the residents haven't do so. I seriously doubt that one senator's wife (who must work for a defunct cruise line because the "previous" cruise outfit declared bankruptcy) has that much control. Many times, our members from Hawaii have posted that the people of Hawaii do not want to legalize gambling, so I would definitely believe they know.

p.s. It may be a "detriment" for you, but please don't speak for "all" of us cruisers. It is not the least bit a detriment for me.

I would agree it is not much of a detriment, especially on such port intense cruises. While I like to gamble, the best casinos at sea are still pretty small, and have never been a big part of the cruise experience, for me.

Mike is correct as for Hawaii law no ships can gamble anywhere near Hawaii waters, but there are a few exceptions. When ship traveling to fanning island they will have bingo or the other exception is. If ship ever going to dry dock or for whatever reason to the main land such as San Fran. then it will have Bingo

Many states do not allow gambling. It is a choice by the people of the state and not a Senator or his wife. (In Ohio, we have voted down casino gambling 4 times in 10 years. Last November it went down to defeat with 68% of the people voting no!)
