Other than that -- they didn't dance, drink, smoke, or gamble so we had all of the bars, discos, lounges, and the casino to ourselves pretty much.

My guess is that they won't harass you, but on the contrary, will try their best to avoid you and will probably be polite but scared if you end up on the same trivia team or whatever. They think they don't know any gay people and are probably very frightened and intimidated by actual out gays.

I agree with these two posts completely. I'd go and not worry about it. They'll probably have them locked up in bible study all day and night anyway.

a couple of years ago and this born again came into the cigar bar and started playing and singing Christian music. We had security come and take him away. We were there to smoke and drink and not be converted.

On the other hand I bet the sauna could get real cruisy with all this young meat looking for a new experience. Just get down on your knees and pray for what you want.

On the Oosterdam in Mexico there was a christian group, bellringing group and a puzzle group. The bellringers had one of the meeting rooms, the puzzle group took over the Oak Room (one of my favorites so this was disappointing) and the only time I saw the christian group was when I was walking past the piano bar early one morning and there was some kind of hellfire and damnation prayer meeting in there, the preacher was right out of central casting-southern accent and all. I even heard a few "amens" being shouted. They left the door open and I wondered if it was an invitation to come in and have a demon or two cast off.

I had lunch with a couple people from the puzzle group and occasionally saw the bellringers in the dining room (they wore name tags) but I never ran into anyone from the christian group, maybe they took their meals someplace else. And yes, I did wonder about a cutie in the thermal suite that I caught staring from the corner of my eye.

I think it would be quite something if some day a large gay group and large christian group found themselves on the same sailing. By large I mean roughly 1/2 and 1/2 of the total pax. It'd make for great comedy at the very least. Do you think the cruiselines would permit this? It could happen completely by accident if they don't monitor group bookings that closely?

On the advice of some sage CC members, I called the booking company (inspiration cruises) to see how many Biola alumni were sailing on the cruise. They said the Biola group had cancelled, so at least I won't have to worry about that!
