Puerto Rican dark rum questions

we're spending minimal time in sanjuan before our cruise, and minimal time after.

 

boss has requested i bring him home a good dark puerto rican rum. can someone suggest? where can i purchase [close to airport]? and ..... would it just be easier to buy in st. thomas ?

i'm canadian, duty free allowances are quite different.

 

i usually bring back more than i'm allowed [put some in checked baggage] but it's difficult if everyone is keeping track for me ....

I remember seeing Don Q (and a few others) on display in one of the gift shops in the San Juan Intl airport. (probably a bit more expensive there, but if you still haven't bought any by the time you're at the airport, it's an option).

 

Personally, I go to the place mentioned above that let's you taste;-)

Some day I'll learn to look at where people live.

It is certainly better than the San Juan airport price wise. I'll just say it's my choice . . . as we get a higher allowence there I have not looked much in other places.
