For Crouton

Thanks for taking the time and expense in keeping us enthralled every day during your crossing. I for one have been living vicariously through your postings. You have style and flair - a fantastic journal/review.

Although we could not see that much either as the Queen passed us at the Narrows, we all raised our champagne glasses in toast towards the ship to "Crouton's Crossing!”

Tomorrow Lorraine and I embark on the official Maiden Cruise to Nowhere, How was the embarkation process for you (I do not recall reading that there were any problems). We are also scheduled to embark at 3:30 pm. Did you arrive at that time or earlier?

Thanks again Crouton. I'll make very attempt to sign the Cruise Critic Book Cusyl.

Dear Jeanne S.,

It's so good to hear from you, and thank you for your kind words and supportive, toasty good wishes: they worked, as my voyage was everything I had hoped for and, amazingly, more.

I'm excited for you and hope you will post your impressions of the ship. As for embarkation, it basically went well -- long lines, but moving more or less steadily. A few thoughts:

-- if the traffic is bad from gawkers, avoid approaching the NYPST on the West Side hwy. from below and instead go up to 56th(?) street or so and come down for the straight shot up the ramp

-- don't forget to go to the stern while she's still docked and see how much she sticks out into the Hudson.

Bon voyage!

Crouton
