FLL car shuttle question

Making final plans for next week's crossing departure (yeah, I know it's late. But I don't start packing until an hour before I have to leave either).

 

Hertz used to shuttle you straight to the pier, but I heard a rumor that this was no longer true. Does anybody know? There's a difference in price between the rental companies, but this convenience would make the higher rate worthwhile.

This may be a dumb reply, but....

 

Since you're from Houston and you're asking about Hertz in FLL, that presumably means you're flying in the day before, renting a car at the airport, staying overnight, returning the car to the airport the following day and needing transport to the pier. If that is correct, then why not phone the Hertz FLL office directly (954-764-1199) and ask them about the shuttle? Then you'll know for sure whether you need to switch companies.
