Transfer time from airport to ship in Venice?

Can anyone give me an idea of how long the time frame is once our flight arrives in Venice, to when we will arrive at our ship (using transfers arranged by cruise line)?

 

We are sailing Celebrity if that makes a difference.

We haven't done this on Celebrity but we did on Holland America - and while it is quite close there are lots of waits alongs the way. We had to wait at baggage for the whole group from our airline to get rounded up, then we were escorted to another waiting place where we had to wait an absurdly long time sitting on our luggage to get on the bus. Then we waited another long time for the bus to leave the airport. Then we waited on the bus at the pier. Then we waited to get checked in - we were so absurdly happy to get on the pier, you wouldn't beleive it (plus the couple behind us on our redeye flight from LAX to Frankfurt wouldn't let us recline our seat so we had to sit bolt upright the whole way - so we were more than jet-lagged).

 

Some other folks have talked about taking a water taxi from the airport to the pier - this might have been a pleasant alternative - and avoided the crowds and waiting. Our ship wasn't leaving Venice until the following day so we could have afforded a mishap or two.
