2 for 1 beer at the casino.... is it true recently?

Okay, I read on a prior thread about the two for 1 beer specials in the casino....does this still occur?? or was it just a one time deal on a ship?

is it true that you can get the beer unopened and take back to your room and do you have to be spending lots of $$$$$ to get the special?

this sounds too good to be true on a cruise ship that likes to nickel and dime the guests to the poor house. I like the idea of being able to take it back to my room to enjoy it on my balcony.

Yes, there are drink sales throughout the ship at certain times of the day. I highly recommend reading your Freestyle dailies for the locations and time.

Why in the world are you cruising on a ship that you feel nickles and dimes it's passengers to death? I would certainly avoid any venue that I felt was trying to take advantage of me.:)

March 1st on the Dawn, 2 for 1 in the casino after midnight. Didn't try ordering extra to bring to cabin so I don't know if there are limits.

Same on the Dawn Feb 18 - stood there while a member of the roll call got two buckets stuffed with 12 beers and trotted of to his cabin happy as a clam. No you don't get the by five get six bucket for half price. You get 12 for 6.

ON the Jewel there were certain times where you got Free.. yes Free drinks if you were gambling. Just like Vegas.

They did that on the Dawn and Pearl a couple of nights. One small rub. It was ladies only:eek: Still working on my class action filing. :D

 

That said I was offered a free drink most nights on the Dawn.

WE was on the Spirit march 24th sailing, playing blackjack on the last sea day and the pit boss gave the table free drinks as we were playing. Everyone at the table played for maybe 3 1/2 hrs I was playing two hands at between $10 to $40 a hand and everyone else the same amounts. I did pretty good ended the cruise with Plus about $200 But have no idea how much my wife donated to the slot machines.

Gald to hear that the cruise line may give somewhat a break on drinks! I went on a cruise about 3 years ago and NOTHING was free. We gambled a lot and had to pay for everything we drank from liquor on down to water.

I really don't recall it being for Ladies only on the Jewel TA. It was just off times for the Casino,like at 5pm. On a two week cruise it was offered 2-3x.

 

The Casinon is the best at sea IMHO> As,most know on this board I'm not a big NCL fan but I liked their casino as did Hubby. The owner of NCL also owns some pretty fancy Casino's in Monte Carlo and I beleive Vegas.

Actually the Parent company owns Genting Highlands (I think that is the name) in Malaysia which has a number of casinos. We visited there once, very interesting outside Kuala Lumpur.

Yes, I do think it was some where in Asia. Some very high end casinos.

 

I guess it was those Free drinks :p that skewed my memory.

Are you sure they didn't slip the charges on your shipboard account without you realizing it? I don't see cruise ships giving anything for free, last time we cruised we were in the casino every night after dinner and never got any free drinks but then again we weren't on NCL. maybe things have changed. :rolleyes: :cool: we are on the Star so hopefully times have changed!:D

ive seen on a few occasions this 2 for 1 sale its certain nights and i believe it usually coors light if my memory hold true

Yes..I am SURE! Drinks were "free":)
