RQINFL Posted April 10, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2007 What is the best restaurant in Grand Cayman for lunch? Something either local and casual, or upscale and gourmet. Thanks!
serval_girl Posted April 11, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2007 Ill be there next week (provided the sea gods let the ship dock:) and found this place online... Macabuca Tiki Bar. Its sounds casual, right on the beach and has turtle steak and conch chowder etc. if you like that kind of stuff (I do!). their site also says bring your snorkel gear bc there is nice snorkeling on beach where its at. Its on NW point rd, right past turtle farm so its close to alot of activities. hope this helps:)
bigasufan Posted April 11, 2007 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2007 We ate at Paradise just past the Hard Rock Cafe. Easy walking to the pier. We had conch fritters, turtle soup, and a turtle burger. All of it was good, and this place is right on the water.

RDangerIII Posted April 12, 2007 #5 Share Posted April 12, 2007 Upstairs at Breezes if you can get an outside table! Best conch fritters ever. So much more better than Margaritaville in Ocho Rios! Those were bland and had no meat. The one's at Breezes were really good.

All of it was good, and this place is right on the water. We also went there. They rent snorkeling equipment & you can snorkel right there. A very small strip of sand for a beach. DH had brought his snorkeling equipment & was going to pay to snorkel. They didn't charge if you bought drinks/food. Can eat either inside or under cover outside & service was great. View is wonderfull. Food/drinks were good. DH saw a lot of fish, including some large ones. We had a great afternoon.

We are going to stop there after 7 mile beach before going back on the ship. Was just wondering about pricing. Have heard most restaurants in GC are very expensive!!!
