First Time Cruise - Only 2 Days to Go

Only 2 days to go - these boards have been a life saver. On inspiration. Anything else I should know - I have been taking notes on all the good tips. I remember to get lanyards from casino ( punch holes in card), playing cards from pursers, dramamine somewhere, go to tea time and shop talk, self disembarkment if possible,bring water, soda, travel mug, night light, power strip. Anything else???

Just have a great time!!!!! Enjoy this time too - last year at this time I too was planning for my first cruise in October - I would give anything (well almost anything) to go back and do it again!!! Once you get on that ship - you will have to pinch yourself to make sure that you are really there!!!! Enjoy!!!! :)

Good luck with the pursers desk, on the last couple of cruises I was on, they had stopped giving out the free playing cards, and were instead directing people to the casino, where you could buy USED cards...!

 

We also take a small fan (10" ?) - mostly for the sound!

Tom the same thing happened to me on the Legend. I went to the pursers desk to add to my collection and was told I could buy some in the casino.

We also take an alarm clock, like a baby ben.

Much easier to see what time it is when you wake up and it's still dark..also use it to set alarm for port days.

Ziplok bags, all sizes - the 2-gal. size is great for wet swimming suits. You won't believe how they come in handy. About the cards, I got a comp. deck from the purser's desk last cruise - and my cabin steward got me a deck on the cruise before that. Just ask.
