Eken Posted August 6, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2004 Hi! I just wanted to share some information with those who happen to be in Stockholm on August 15. Every year a free concert with classical music performed by the Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra is arranged in the garden outside Sjohistoriska Museet at Djurgarden. This year they will be playing music by Mozart, Brahms, Strauss and Dvorzak alongside some Scandinavian composers. There will also be sing-along-songs, as Swedes really love singing together. It's the perfect place for enjoying a picnic while relaxing in the grass. Between 11 am and 2 pm you can buy a picnic basket for SEK 90 with Toscana Salad with pasta, mozzarella and ham at the café. Beverage, bread and coffee is also included. The concert starts at 2 pm. Bus 69 from T-Centralen at Sergels torg will take you directly to Sjohistoriska Museet. Have a nice day and don't forget to sing along! If I'm not out guiding people around town, I might show up. :)
