Pricing policy on Celebrity

I just checked the Celebrity site and the cost of my 5/25 CC cabin has gone down. Does Celebrity give refunds for price reductions?

I saw yesterday that there was a price reduction on the website I use. This in reference to a cruise I booked for us 13 months out. I called my Internet TA and she interfaced with Celebrity and got us a reduction of $420.00 for the same cabin I had booked. That's about a 10% savings over an already pretty decent fare for the February 3, 2008 Australia/New Zealand mercury sailing. Outside cabin, starboad, near the aft elevators.

It's my understanding that, after the final payment date, cruise lines won't reduce the fare, but before final payment date, they will. I may be wrong. Anyone know for sure?

Last year after final payment on the May 6 Mercury from Ensenada to Alaska we got some money back and an upgrade to a suite.This year on an RCL cruise after final payment they added a 55+ discount and we got $400 back..............Frank:)
