RobinKS Posted April 16, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 16, 2007 Does anyone know how to order copies of Lifestyle portraits that were done on board? We purchased several, but now people at home want copies too. Thanks.
Travelgrrl Posted April 16, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 16, 2007 You can get a copyright release from Image Photo Service for free (just google them), print it out and take it to a WalMart or anywhere they have a "Picturemaker" copier and you can make as many copies as you want at the $5 a page rate. Often I make up wallet photos of our cruise pics this way. (about 9 wallets for $5, or two 5 x 7's, or one 8 x 10.) This service works with RCI and many other major lines and it's all kosher! CleoPat Posted April 16, 2007 #5 Share Posted April 16, 2007 I keep reading about these photo copying "releases" No one has ever mentioned this to me onboard when I purchase my photos and I just scan them and order a copy online from wherever. jimbug Posted April 16, 2007 #6 Share Posted April 16, 2007 We tried that before (scanning at home and ordering online from Wal-Mart). Wal-Mart wouldn't print them because they looked "professional." I didn't know you could get a copyright release like this...too bad, but now I know!
dad son team Posted April 16, 2007 #7 Share Posted April 16, 2007 I didn't know about the copyright release until after my first cruise when I paid the ship to make copies. I'll never do that again. I've actually told many peopel on the ship about doing this and they all seem surprised.
M&M Hayden Posted April 16, 2007 #8 Share Posted April 16, 2007 I went to Target to get Christmas cards done of one of the pictures we had taken on board. They told me that a release wasn't needed to get copies made because the photos were taken on a cruise ship.
