Sunset Beach Closed Some Days!!!!

What a disappointment! We arrived in Jamaica on 4-11 and the taxi drivers refused to take us (and other families) to Sunset Beach. They said that Sunset Beach had called that morning and said not to bring cruise ship passengers over that day because the resort was full. We had contacted the beach a couple of weeks prior to this and were told "no problem".

 

So this is a warning to everyone--have a back-up plan! We ended up doing nothing and the day was really ruined. The taxi drivers tried to get us to go to the Wyndham and told us it was the same price as Sunset Beach, but it's not! It's $55. for adults and $35 for kids, and the taxi ride is $35 each way. We heard it was nice there, but there was 7 of us and that was just way too much money. Plus we had our hearts set on Sunset Beach.
