My husband and I are meeting friends in Vancouver who are subsequently departing for an Alaskan cruise.

 

We are going to be celebrating a 10th wedding anniversary and would like information on fabulous 'foodie' restaurants for a slap-up dinner.

 

Sevice, possible great views, decor and the like are important, but not as important as food quality....one of the participants is a renowned Chef!

 

So, all Vancouver veterans and/or residents, please recommend your favorites.

The Belle Auberge in Ladner might appeal to a renowned chef. It is owned/operated by Bruno Marti, also a renowned chef, successful in the culinary Olympics, and apparently has done a deal with Holland America.

La Belle Auberge is excellent, but Bruno Marti (while still the owner/operator) is not the actual day to day chef at the restaurant any more. He's busy doing all kinds of other things.

I am going to try to reserve the Chef's Table at West for our BIG NIGHT.
