Our TA got it for us and we have never had to claim anything so far. We have taken 4 cruises with that company. We have been lucky . No problems.It's Ok by us

We also use them. Our TA always figures the cost out and what we need. They always seem to come up with the best prices for what we need.

Our friends had it and had to cancel their cruise (10 days out) due to an illness in the family. It took a couple of times to get things through, but they got back a total of around $3000 for their missed cruise. It paid for the plane tickets and the cruise.

Yes, if you want to really know about the insurance company, you need to ask if anyone has had to place a claim with them. That's where you might see the differnces in customer service.

 

I've had to use Travel Guard for medical bills reimbursement and I had all my money refunded in 2 weeks. (about 600.00) Just made sure I kept every piece of documentation from the ship's medical facility and doctor. They also required proof of a fully paid cruise and ship account too.
