As you can tell by my signature - we are going in September. Below is the information I have gathered for this port so far.

Hope it helps.

BELIZE:

Just come ashore, grab a dockside taxi (look for the guys in the white shirts - Belize Cruiseship Taxi/Tourguide Association) and you are on!! Ask to go to Old Belize beach. A man made beach with virtual history museum and excellent bar/restaurant, just 4 miles outside Belize City.

A 10 minute drive West from Belize City brings you to a white sandy beach (about 350 feet long) with waters varying in depth from 2 ft. - 10 ft. In the horizon about 7miles to the East, is the second largest living barrier reef in the world - 180 miles long.

This little bay has various activities to choose from. On the beach you can dip into the Caribbean Sea, lounge under one of our palapas or a coconut tree with your favorite drink, or bask in the sun for a bit.

With our warm and friendly service, picturesque seaside view, tranquil sea breezes and totally laid-back ambience, you will feel relaxed and refreshed. You'll keep coming back again and again! All you need is yourself, and leave the rest up to us. Come to Cucumber Beach and escape into our reality!

While on the Beach, be sure to visit Tataduende's - a fully stocked bar with your favorite tropical drinks and more - or feel free to use our changing rooms and fresh water showers.

Ouch...please do some searches here...Cucumber beach gets all horrid reviews...it is dirty, industrial area and just not nice...there really is NO good beach at Belize City...and NO all inclusive resorts there either, in the city itself

The "best" hotels in town, all 2 of them, get awful reviews at Trip Advisor

IMHO Belize is a place to take a tour, thru the ship or an independent or else just shop in the tourist village at the Port

Cucumber beach "sounds" nice on the website but every review I read of it is negative and worse....hth
