I have too many days to count (although I am under 200 now!), so I am jealous! Both of you feel free to take pictures of every inch of the ship, including my stateroom (U184), every menu, video every activity, bring me a copy of every caper and handout,... actually just take me with you please!:D :D :D

We just returned yesterday from a 4 night cruise on the Ecstasy. My review is now posted in the review section ,along with others that may help you decide.

That was a great review! I was wondering how it went for you with that late departure! I was reading your post before you left and it seemed like you were ready to make the best of it!

Thank you. There were many, many more positives than negatives. It was also nice to have the OBC. We had a wonderful time overall. The queeziness just gave us a reason to stay in bed half of Sunday. Can't wait 'til the next one!

We had a great time overall too! We also spent a lot of time Sunday in bed because of the queeziness and strong winds on deck, but we enjoyed a few movies and making up for lost sleep the night before.

How would you compare debarkation to previous cruises? I saw you wrote that y'all did the General debarkation. Dh & I did Self-Assist. We thought we'd stay in our rooms till they called our number, but we couldn't hear the announcements. We missed the first 3 calls, so ended up sitting out in the hallway by the wall out of the way, so we could hear. Other than that, it went smoothly. When they called our number (25) we went to the Empress deck and didn't have to wait at all, just walked right off the ship. Then we only had about a 20 minute wait in the customs lines. We were home in NW Houston in time for lunch...followed by a long nap! ;)

Anyone else experiencing this? All morning (and some yesterday afternoon, but mostly this morning) whenever I sit still for a few minutes I start getting this sensation as if my body is still feelling the rocking of the ship on the ocean. I realize it's all in my head, but it certainly feels strange, and is a little disconcerting. Actually, I remember now feeling it a little bit when I was in the shower this morning. I felt kind of dizzy, and it kind of felt the same as when I was standing in the shower on the ship when the ocean swells were at their highest Saturday night.

Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this or heard of this?

Happens every time- it's called "sea legs". Goes away after a couple days...

Hi All!

Sailing on the Ecstasy for 5 days on 11/12/2007 with a family of four adults and three (13,5,2) children! Third cruise for me and my wife. 1st time for everyone else. We sailed Ecstasy on a 3 day to Mexico out of Los Angeles in 2001. I don't remember much. I'm having fun reading all of the info. Since I want to test my count down clock... I may as well ask a few questions. :)

Is the sushi bar included, or is there a charge? Times available?

Is the poker table located in the main casino?

Is there a cigar bar / area? If so, name and location.

What is the cost for daily or weekly internet?

I'll continue to review this and other threads. Thanks for taking the time to answer!

Is the sushi bar included, or is there a charge? Times available? Sushi bar is included! Not exactly sure, but it was pre-dinner for two or so hours.

Is the poker table located in the main casino? Yes! Only one casino.

Is there a cigar bar / area? If so, name and location. Yes, one deck above the Wind Song dining room at the rear of the ship. Called the Society Cigar Bar.

What is the cost for daily or weekly internet? They have minute plans, but I never used it so I'm unable to help. I'm sure it ain't cheap!

I'll continue to review this and other threads. Thanks for taking the time to answer!

Have a great trip:cool:

I thought the omelets on the Conquest were fabulous. Does the Ecstacy have an omelet station as well, or will I need to breakfast in the dining room to enjoy an omelet while aboard? Thanks!

Yes, you can get omelets on the Lido Deck but we love to eat in the dining room. Great omelets there, too. Travelgirl

Actually, my experience in the dining room for breakfast was dissapointing. Dh & I tried breakfast in the dining room our 1st morning on board, expecting great food, but it was bland and looked and tasted as if it had been sitting out. My eggs benedict were barely warm, and Dh's pancakes were tasteless, and his bacon was limp and greasy. Thankfully, dinner was a completely different experience, which was wonderful all 3 nights (we were too late boarding to have dinner the 1st night).

The rest of the cruise we had breakfast on the Lido deck at the buffet, which did have an omelette station, which was very good.

We are sailing on December 24, and I can't wait. We've booked a room at the Harbor House in Galveston for December 23, so I hope to watch the ship sail in to port. We are taking a new shore excursion in Progreso called Mayan Ruins and Beach Break Combo. Does anyone who has sailed recently know where do you go for the beach break portion of the excursion?

They are now saying it will be summer, 2008. Not a definite date as of yet. It's already been pushed up a few times...so, we'll see when they decide a definite day, if indeed they ever do so! You can check the US State Department website for more comprehensive info. It's http://travel.state.gov/travel/cbpmc/cbpmc_2223.html. Good luck!
