We are cruising on the Ecstasy on Dec 17th I can't get anyone to post on the roll call. If you are also going, hope you will post.

 

I'll be getting off as you get on. One of my co-workers is thinking of going on your cruise, so I know you won't be alone! ;)

I've been waiting forever for the Ecstasy to leave. Anyone know why it is almost 2 hours late?

Probably flight delays or something for some pax who used Carnival to book their airfare...and Carnival used Delta. Enough said.

Would be nice if they had free drinks! I know these passengers are excited to be on Her drydock "maiden voyage". I just keep thinking about those in aft balconies-Ouch!

I was sailing on the Ecstasy once when we didn't sail out until nearly 9:30pm. Everything went on exactly as if we were at sea. Dinner was served in the dining rooms just as normal, no one seemed to notice or care - we were cruising as far as we cared! But the casino or gift shops can't open until at sea but the show went on!

I have never cruised but would like to plan a cruise for next year. It would be myself, husband, 12 yr old and 4 yr old.

 

Questions about dining. I know there is a buffet. In the dining room and it order from a menu? are there several choices?

What are the portions like. My husband can eat....

 

What are the drink prices like???? We are not big drinkers but would definitely like to have a few. Do you go broke drinking?

 

I will probably be thinking of more things to ask in the future.

Your husband can order as much as he'd like but if he'd like to main dishes order them from the start as we've notice if you wait until you eat the first one and then order a 2nd you may not get it depending on how popular it was as they seem to only prepare so many per dining time. This is something new we noticed on our last Cruise in August didn't bother us but some of our table mates were upset. As for questions ask away! :)

Thanks for those links. What about alcohol. How expensive are the drinks/beer. I hear they have a drink of the day/happy hour. Is there a savings there. Are there anytimes that they give drinks. Just trying to figure out how much to budget.
