It worked out well and noone said that we couldn't and I wasn't charged anything. We made play lists and kept it going during our cocktail party in the afternoon. I don't know if the policy has changed since then, but we brought a mini stereo and CD with us. They didn't charge us to bring our own and our wedding coordinator was even nice enough to play our CD over the speaker system in the room.
