SNJCruzers Posted April 29, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 29, 2007 Has anyone taken the speedboat excursion through the reversing tides in saint john-new brunswick-canada? I am a thrill seeker, but my DH is a little leary. Any comments will be helpful. Thanks :)
javafriend Posted April 29, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2007 My DH and I took the speed boat ride at the reversing water 3 years ago. We had an absolute blast, as did everyone on the boat. Passengers ranged in age from about 6 to 60+. We went in June, and the water was very cold. The driver made it his goal to get DH soaked, due to some fun, good natured bantering. I am not a big thrill seeker, but I am sure your DH would be fine on this and enjoy it greatly. Lisa
CaptData Posted April 29, 2007 #3 Share Posted April 29, 2007 If you want a ghost story while on it ask about the two men who went under the falls. It is a local ledgen (sp).
Host Kewlguy Posted April 29, 2007 #4 Share Posted April 29, 2007 We did the speed boat ride a few years ago and would love to do it again. We had a great time. After the ride concluded the tour operator did a head count to make sure we were all still in the boat. If you love thrill rides you have to do it. :D

You either have to book through the cruise line or through the company itsself. http://www.jetboatrides.com/

BM64 Posted May 13, 2007 #8 Share Posted May 13, 2007 anyone ever go on this with their children? i have 2 boys - 14 and 9 - do u think they would enjoy it?thanks! I was wondering about my girls as well, they'll be 13 and 8. It would be nice if we could book the same time and all go over from the ship together. Keep me posted if you get additional info and I'll do the same. Brigitte
