Mr. Tucker Posted April 29, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2007 Does anyone know if there is a left luggage office in Rome either at the airport or train station. TIA Sam There is one at both. At the airport as you come out of customs it is all the way down at end on your right as you face the traffic lanes outside the doors. There are also ATM's right there as well so we were able to kill two birds with one stone. It worked perfect for us as we left most of our luggage there for five days while we traveled Italy prior to our cruise. On the way to the cruise port we stopped at the airport (1/2 hour out of the way total) and got the luggage. It was so nice to be able to move around Italy without dragging everything with us. Don't remember exactly where it is at the train station - but I do remember seeing signs for it. Good luck!!

Miss1stCruise Posted April 29, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted April 29, 2007 Many thanks for your help. I have several hours to kill once Regatta docks before my flight at night so thought I might have a quick wander round Rome and I don't want to lug a suitcase round! Mr. Tucker Posted April 29, 2007 #5 Share Posted April 29, 2007 Does anyone happen know whether there is similar service in Venice? Europe in general has luggage facilities at all train stations and airports. It makes it so convenient to visit these places without the trouble of figuring out what to do with luggage. As an aside, train travel with more than one bag per person is somewhat a big hassle getting on, getting off and simply storing it on board. We saw many American passengers struggling with their luggage especially those who appeared to be cruise ship bound in Rome.
