Tips for Guides - Turkey & Athens

[Louisana cruiser]

We will use Levent in Istanbul (for 3 days) and Ephesus (for 1 day).

We also have a private guide in Athens.

 

What is the standard tip for these guides?

- a percentage of the tour cost (if so, what %)

or

- a flat tip, based on length of tour ($__ for half day and $__ for full day)

 

I want to be sure to tip appropriately, as I have heard both are GREAT guides.

 

Any advice would be appreciated.
