Ballet In St Petersburg

Recommended Posts

After touring all day and not getting back to the ship until 6 PM, we didn't get very dressed up. Just slacks and flats instead of tennis shoes.

The theater where the ballet is held (at least the one that Princess takes you to on its excursion) is not air conditioned. It was very warm and they didn't open windows or doors during the performance - just during the intermission.

I thoroughly enjoyed the ballet. The night we went it was Sleeping Beauty.

If you're going to Mariinka ballet, you need to be in formal dress (suit).

There are no strict rules and nobody impose them, just you'll be uncomfortable when everybody is dressed up.
