proudmotherinlaw Posted May 3, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 3, 2007 We'll be going to Ensenada in a little over a week.Trying to decide on which excursion/s to take. And also would like to find out where the out of the way shops are where we can barter?Am interested in 'La Bufadora(can you do haggling shopping here?and if we decide to go just here, how would we get there?) & Mexican Folkloric Fiesta excursion RCCL is offering. Also interested in two other excursions they are offering, but not sure if we will see much.An automatic four wheeled ATV adventure and wine country tour through Guadalupe Valley. The other is is a Rhino 4X4 expedition through Sierra Madre Mountains and also through the Valley De Guadalupe. We'll be starting in the village of San Antonio de Las Minas. Is there anything fascinating to see on the last two tours?Thank you for any help!
Family Man Posted May 3, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 3, 2007 We've done both La Boufadora (and yes, you can negotiate some pretty good deals) and the wine country tour. We enjoyed them both. On our next trip to Ensenada, we will take the Fox Studio Tour. Enjoy the Monarch! We sure did.
proudmotherinlaw Posted May 3, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted May 3, 2007 Thanks Tim.We have a friend who is a huge superman fan too.Did you do the excursion offered by the Monarch for La Bufadora and the wine tour?If not,we were wondering how to get to La Bufadora on our own?I think I also read there's a big flea market around that's good for swapping? Family Man Posted May 4, 2007 #4 Share Posted May 4, 2007 We did the wine tour through RCI, but did the La Boufadora tour on our own. If you decide to go to La Boufadora, you can save $10-15 per person by taking the bus at the pier into town and taking their tour. It is done by the same company (Las Dunas Tours) that does the same tours for the cruise ships, but without the ship's mark up. The big flea market has all kinds of leather goods, designer knock-off purses, clothing, and other souvenir items.
