What is the difference in location for Divi Beach and the beach area that is directly next to the water taxi pier downtown? We where thinking about doing Divi on our next visit.

It is a 5 minute taxi ride. Lovely view of the sea, hills and resort. Gentler slope from the beach, and therefore is really nice for the little ones and non-swimmers.

We spent the morning at the Divi Little Bay Resort last year - it's a really nice resort - I wouldn't mind going back there for a land vacation.

 

The one thing I found unusual was that the sand on their beach got extremely hot - make sure you have beach shoes. The water was beautiful and very calm.

 

Make sure you leave enough time to get back to the ship - our driver went through town and boy was it crowded with cars (very narrow street) and people walking everywhere. It definitely took longer to get back to the ship.
