We will be in Barbados in Mid November 2007 and we would like to hopefully visit Harrison's Cave and then maybe get a short island tour and take in lunch somewhere. I'm currently trying to get information on harrison's cave tour with the tram and tour guides that will accomodate the cave and sightseeing and lunch&shopping. Any suggestions.

We used Cameron Reid for our island tour. http://www.scenicbarbados.com

Cameron has "standard" tours he will give you or will customize one based on your preferences. He and I emailed back and forth a few times to get the specifics nailed down. We wanted to visit Harrison's Cave (admissions are the responsibility of the passengers) and our driver took us there first to avoid the crowds when the tour buses got there. We had a few other sites we wanted to visit and then asked our driver, Herman, to take us to a restaurant for lunch (we invited him to join us and purchased his lunch). He took us to Round Top, which is at Bathsheba and right at the water's edge. Very beautiful. After lunch, we let him show us sights he thought were special, and he took us to a hotel where we could spend a bit of time on the beach. On the way back to the ship, we asked him to stop at a grocery so that we could purchase some refreshments for our cabins. We had been to Barbados 3 times before and this was the best visit.

Pinkaboo, sorry, I don't remember the name of the beach, but it may have been Sandy Bay Beach Club. We did go thru a hotel lobby to get to the beach. Check out this website and there are many lovely beaches to choose from. Just ask your driver to take you to a nice beach. We had originally wanted to spend some time at the beach snorkeling, but time got short, and so our driver just took us to this particular beach for a short visit.

We were very impressed with our Best of Barbados tour from Glory Tours, but they have several options to choose from. Our tour was all day and included Harrison's Cave, The Wildlife Preserve, Sightseeing, lunch, Swimming with turtles, Glass Bottom boat ride, and Snorkeling the shipwreck, etc.

pholter, can you tell me the approximate cost of the all day tour with Glory Tours? Thanks.

Donna

The tour booked via the internet discount is now priced at $102, but it's a steal for all you get! Also, Keep in mind that Harrison's Caves won't reopen until November or after, so if you're cruising prior to then, they will substitute something else to see in it's place.

They have lots of other tours available, but this one really lets you experience alot.
