CronoDL Posted May 21, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2007 Hi everyone, we're going on a cruise in 18 days with rain forest and snorkeling activities, and would really like to take good pictures. We really don't want to use an underwater disposable camera. We were looking around online to see what we could do, and came up with several conclusions. - We have an older Nikon 5200, which takes great pictures, but the underwater casing is a little too expensive for an older camera - We took a look at the new Olympus Stylus 770, and saw that the user reviews were HORRIBLE; the camera got water logged the first time people used it and it broke - We were taking a look at underwater "bags" like the Dicapac, but I can't find a place online that the warranty covers the CAMERA in case water does get into a defective bag Does anyone have a good, relatively inexpensive suggestion? Thanks!
C-Ked Posted May 21, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 21, 2007 There are lots of threads about underwater camera options in the Photo Gallery forum: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=118 Do a quick search there, and you'll find lots of great advice, reviews, etc. Hope this helps!
