bbjaspan Posted May 21, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2007 We will have 2 1/2 days in Vancouver before our cruise departs on June 8. One of the places we definitely want to visit in Vancouver is Stanley Park, touring around the park, stopping in several locations. We just saw online that the Stanley Park shuttle bus service does not begin until June 19. :-( Does that mean that if we do not want to walk the whole way (Whew!), we must rent a car? One of us has not been on a bicycle in MANY years, so that's not an option. There is a horse-drawn carriage ride, but that's only for 2 hours and I assume that's a fixed route with no stops. Sopwith Posted May 22, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 22, 2007 The best part about Stanley Park is walking the seawall. In a car you can drive every road in the park in less than 20 minutes. A two hour tour, even horse-drawn, will cover pretty much everything.
gg3 Posted May 22, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 22, 2007 On this site, go to the Canada threads (right by the Alaska) and you will see LOTS of info on the first 2 or 3 pages re: Vancouver, its restaurants, hotels, sites, and lots of info on Stanley Park. They also list a lot of web sites to visit re: transportation. gg
