BABYJOSIE98 Posted August 11, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2004 Has anyone stayed at the Beach Plaza Hotel in Fort Lauderdale before your cruise. It looks like a charming little place and has great beach access. They told me they don't have a complimentary shuttle, but do have one and it is very easy to get around. Is this true? They said they are only 3-4 miles from the Airport. The rates sound great!!!! Just wanted to know what people thought of the place.... I have the website if others want to check it out. It is recommended by 1st traveler' choice-small hotels. They told me $79 for the night in Jan,but they book around 6 -12 weeks out. Thanks for any info..Just wondered if anyone has stayed there? http://www.hotelbeachplaza.com Thanks,Michelle
sunpsyche Posted August 12, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 12, 2004 They have a shuttle...but its not complimentary? what do they charge? It looks like a "typical" (I say that fondly) older yet nice, small floridian hotel. I'm sure it'll be fine. Rates are great and this place has some character...not your modern cookie cutter. I've not stayed there myself tho.
BABYJOSIE98 Posted August 12, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted August 12, 2004 That sounds great....Just what we are looking for. It is nice to get away from the big chain hotels sometimes. I am looking forward too our brief stay there..... Michelle
NudeSleeper Posted August 13, 2004 #4 Share Posted August 13, 2004 The Hotel Beach Plaza is across the street from the hotel I always stay at in Ft Lauderdale. It looks like a nice place. The location is wonderful, you are right across the street from the beach, within walking distance from restaurants, bars, Las Olas, The Galleria Shopping Center. Shuttle to the port is $15.
