Antigua: Pineapple or Long Bay Beach?

Which beach do you recommend for snorkelling in Antigua?

Pineapple and Long Bay beach are one in the same. The proper name for the beach is Long Bay, but at one end, there is the Grand Pineapple Beach Resort (formerly an Occidental property but now belongs to Sandals). Because of the name of the resort, overtime, it came to be known as Pineapple Beach as well.

Yes, there is snorkeling there, it's a lovely beach with fine sand that has a hint of pink, and is calm most of the time and shallow.

Another snorkeling spot is Pillars of Hercules/Pillars Rocks in English Harbour. If you check the Antigua forum on this board, there should be reviews of the snorkeling. If not, you can always check the Antigua & Barbuda's Tourism Boards forum - www.geographia.com/antiguanews.

Thanks for the additional information! I greatly appreciate it! Do you believe that the snorkeling is better at Pillars of Hercules?
