nucrewzers Posted May 24, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 24, 2007 I have been reading with great interest about tipping and charges applied to a pax's credit card. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I have found it necessary to use a "pay-as-you-go" type card, in which you are billed for each transaction applied to your card. (typically $2-4 depending on the type of transaction) If all of the daily tips, charges, etc. are individually applied to one's credit card, I may be forced to swim part of the way back home!!! This type of card also has a fee to "load" funds onto it. Is one able to just put down a "cash deposit" in lieu of a credit card?

If you use a credit card, each individual purchase is not charged to your credit card as a separate transaction. The total is charged to your credit card at the end of the cruise. You will only see one transaction on your credit card statement. Here is the information from Carnival's site. http://www.carnival.com/CMS/FAQs/Sail_And_Sign_On_Board_Account.aspx
