wednesday 16th may

woke at 4am tossing around in very rough seas! arrived in naples as sorrento was not possible.as not booked any excursions and that the seas would be rough going to capril. justy went to the internet cafe them saw the horrendous traffic in naples went back to the ship for lunch. rubbish sailaway as the group of 2 had left by the time we had left! dinner for 4 swordfish and thew lovely tirimisu. had lemonchello a lovely drink never heard of it before. very windy again.

 

thursday 17th may

arrived in rome after breakfast got the shuttle to town, got lost and walked for an hour around the town. finally found the station bought a ticket to rome 10euros retuern. 60 mins later arrived in rome./ got the metro to the coliseum had lunch in cafe of lasagna,tirimisu. train back to ship 1620. dinner beef, key lime pie without sugar quite nice. left port at 1900 passing 3 ships.

 

friday 18th may.

arrived at anchor in portofino, after breakfast got the tender ashore. walked around the bay to get some lovely views. had lunch in town had swordfish marinated,mixed fish a bit hard eating these. then did the excursion on the boat to san fruitoso and camogli. thought we were going ashore in san fran? but no! the sea had quite a swell still so was quite a rough trip. camogli was lovely. back to the ship just before we werre due to leave. dinner crablegs,souffle. show was best of tom fletcher and bayne bacon another great show.
