I really enjoyed it! I have never cruised before and didn't know what to expect. After a few hours or so, we felt right at home. Everything is easy to find on the ship. The food was excellent, both in the dining room and in the Wheel house Grill. The staff is outstanding as well!

Although she is an older ship, it seemed to me, to be in pretty good condition.

We met some great people on this cruise. The atmosphere is very relaxed.

Drinks are pricey, but we knew that going in.

The Port is easy to get to and the staff there are also quite friendly and helpful.

I think you will enjoy your trip!

We were on the same ship you were on! Don't let the rocky waters make you think it was always like that - I have sailed the Celebration before and we never even felt it moving. The waters have just been so wavy - they were warning swimmers in Florida today on the news to be careful of the waves and undercurrents.

I love looking at your pictures - haven't seen any of our group in any of your random pictures. I don't know how to put pictures on here or I would post some of mine.

Thanks for the memories! DH and I took our first cruise on Celebration in 2005! As you can see, she hooked us but good! Are you planning your next cruise yet? LOL:p

You're Welcome! I am trying to up-load a few more pics now, but can't seem to get into the server.

Yes, we are looking into taking a December cruise, between Thanksgiving and Christmas. And YES, we are hooked! It was the fastest vacation we have ever taken. It only seemed like a two day cruise.

NO WAY! What a coincidence! We had a pretty large thread going in the "Roll Call" section. We had quite a few people involved and we all got together on the ship. We had a great time!

Ok, 20 new pictures just got posted!

No, no reveiw has been written yet. I'm affraid I might get a little windy with a review. So I wanna make sure I have plenty of time set aside for that. Working with the photos take up a lot of time, so we are spending our free time putting them on the website and making a DVD slide show.

Bubba, the guy in the hat won, only by having the better Tarzan yell.

I know everyone has seen the posts about the possible sale of Celebration. Sure hope they bring in another ship to Jacksonville. Understand they are looking at building a new terminal on the ocean side of the bridge. I know a lot of us have cruises scheduled on the Celebration in the near future and hope it does not go anytime soon.

We never heard anything about the sale of the ship while we were there, but we did hear about a new port in Jax. No other ship can fit under the bridge at that port and the city Jacksonville either can't or doesn't want to fork out the millions of dollars it would take to build another port. At least, that is what a local told us.

:) Here are a few photo's of our cruise on the Carnival Celebration!

I hope you enjoy them.

Thank you very much for your pictures. Im going on the celebration again on Aug 25 for mabe the last time. If the rumor is true and the ship is sold it will be a sad cruise for me. 15 years ago I took my honeymoon cruise on the celebration and it has always held a special place in my heart.

You never know, it may just be a rumor. It is now a special place for us. It is where we celebrated our 25th ann.

More pics just posted here.

Please be patient, I think the server is having problems tonight. Thanks

Part of the problem is they are having a hard time finding waterfront property that isn't privately owned, Navy-owned, or protected marshlands. They definitely want the bigger port to attract more cruise lines and bigger ships. I looked this up on the Jaxport website:

I hope they get it figured out. I would love to see our cruise options grow here in Jax!

Yes, that would be great. Everything in Jax was a breeze, and more cruising options would be wonderful. JAA was good too.

We were watching the hairy man's chest contest - and we saw Bubba - I was looking at your pictures from the most Southern Point - we walked there. I bet we were crossing paths with you the entire cruise! I haven't had time to go through all of your pictures. Some of my pictures are digital but some are being developed - I don't even know how to post any of them. We were told by the Purser that they are selling the ship.

Wow - I love cruising!

I would say we may have crossed paths at some point. We rented an electric car in Key West (rip-off) because it had been raining and we didn't want to get caught in it again. So I thought we were renting it for an hour, but it turned out to be a two hour minimum. I didn't even check the paperwork til we got home. Things were happening quickly and apparently I misunderstood the man. To make a long story short, we had two empty seats in our expensive ($80) little ride. You all could have rode with us!

Bubba was awesome. We got to chat with him a little before the Capitain's Dinner! Super Nice, funny guy.

Where were you sitting duing hairy chest. I have other pics that I wasn't going to post. We were on the sun deck.

Thanks for the memories. See you must have liked Joseph too, he is the king of maitrds. The bar server you have a pic of too was a lot of fun, always singing and enjoying his work. The only confusing thing is when we took pics at the southermost point there was dumbies standing there as part of the prop. Is there two southernmost points bouys or what. I love the celebration and would love to be able to sail it again. But I doubt by the time I get around to going back on her she will be gone. She is the crown jewel of carnivals ships in my opinion. I know she dont have the whisltes and bells of the newer ships but she is so intimate, that makes up for everything missing. Glad you enjoyed the celebration and cant wait for your other pics.

I was standing on the deck right above the swimming pool - in fact my view was kind of blocked by the slide.

My son thought that those electric cars looked so neat - he is 13 - he wanted to drive one.

Joseph in the Vista saying "It's sh......ow time" had us all smiling! Just to think this time last week - I was sitting in the sun...watching the waves...now I'm at work trying to catch up! Oh, how time flies!

Thanks for sharing your pictures. I noticed the "Red Hot Piano" bar right by the Vista dining room. Was it ever open with a piano player for singing and fun? On the Holiday there was no piano man :(

Thanks

No piano man on the Celebration either. It took me 3 days before I figured out there was a spiral staircase in the piano bar that leads upstairs to the casino.

I could have excused myself from dinner for a moment, ran up to the casino, hit the nickel slots, and been back to my table before anyone knew the difference.
