Gr8 2 cruise Posted May 28, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2007 Has anyone done the fokloric show in St. Petersburg? Would you recommend it or is it just a "tourist" trap? Here is the description from HAL: This is an evening of spectacular cultural value featuring the St. Petersburg Highlights folklore group. Embark on a fascinating, 90-minute musical journey through different regions of Russia, with acrobatic Siberian Cossack dances, Russian and Ukrainian choral singing, and a special Gypsy ensemble which includes the famous Russian folksong, The Dark Eyes, accompanied by live Balalaika music. Champagne and orange juice will be served during intermission.
linedancer 73 Posted May 29, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 29, 2007 We did a folklore evening 2 years ago and it was excellent. The performers were so talented. I would recommend it. Enjoy :)
RedmondWA Posted May 29, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 29, 2007 We did it as part of a private tour from a company called "Alla Tours" (excellent tours, by the way). It was a good show and we were glad we went but it was at the end of a VERY tiring long day...so pace yourself accordingly:)
