suziehmkr Posted May 31, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 31, 2007 We stayed here in 2004 and it was fine: http://www.baysideinn.com/packages.htm However, there is one across the street from the port that is also highly recommended on these boards. For the life of me, I can't think of the name of it. I think it is a Holiday Inn.
iamirish Posted May 31, 2007 #4 Share Posted May 31, 2007 Please keep in mind that there are three (3) Holidays Inns, NEAR the cruise terminal and they all have similar names - the one that is directly across the street from the cruise terminal is the Holiday Inn on the Bay. 1355 N Harbor Dr San Diego, CA 92101 (619) 232-3861 Tom
LornaT Posted June 6, 2007 #5 Share Posted June 6, 2007 The Holiday Inn doesn't have a parking program or it's own parking lot for that matter. It's a pay parking lot. I've been at the Best Western Bayside Inn (http://www.baysideinn.com direct phone number is: 619-233-7500) twice now (and am booked again for this coming October), it's not fancy but clean and a good value. The package includes, room, 8 nights parking (7 plus the 1 night you stay there, extra nights are $5.00 each) in their covered garage, free shuttle service to and from the pier (the drivers all know the porters, so your luggage gets taken and handled right away at drop-off), they have 2 mini-vans and a Continental Breakfast at the Bayside Grill (or a discount off of a regular breakfast instead). The rooms have Refrigerator, Microwave, Coffee Maker, Iron and Ironing Board. The Bayside Grill does do room service also (portions are big).
