Self debarkation at Port Canaveral- 12:25pm flight Will we make it?

We are on the Carnival Glory next April. We have a 12:25 pm flight booked out of Orlando. We rented a car from budget to drive to the airport. Is this cutting it close or will we be ok. We plan on self debarkation. What time do you think we would be off the ship?

We have been off the ship in Port Canaveral by 8:30 or 9, the airport is about an hour, so it's doable. As long as there are no problems with customs or anything. Where do you get the rental at, and how long will that take?

We sailed the Glory in April 2005 (loved it!) but did not do self-assist. People missing flights everywhere since we were late getting into Port Canaveral that morning. We only waited a few minutes for the Mears shuttle bus and didn't arrive at the airport until noon but we had a late flight so it wasn't an issue.

 

Remember that you'll have to wait for the Budget or whatever car rental company to pick you up and then drive 45 minutes to Orlando, check in, etc. If you are called for self-assist at 7:30, there will be no problem. If you are held up, it may be tight. I would take chance on it especially doing self-assist.

Your playing it tight. Any snafu will put you in peril of missing your flight.

 

What time is the next flight out?

 

Is it that much later? longer (stops vs non stop?) More expensive?

 

It's your call, but hate to see your relaxing vacation shot to heck cause you missed an early flight.
