LateCruiser Posted June 5, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 5, 2007 There are lots of perks with a penthouse. Do a search on "NCL Penthouse Perks" and you'll get lots of answers. There is also a page on the NCL website devoted to the penthouses and villas - lots of good info there. Just a few highlights: Butler and concierge service Bigger rooms (some with multiple rooms - depending on category) Easy to get specialty restaurant reservations (use the concierge) Bigger bathrooms (for the most part) Special VIP party(s) Priority Tender Tickets (where required) Escorted embarkation and disembarkation Pack in layers (including sweaters and medium jackets) Best places to eat (on the Pearl)IMHO: Cagney's ($15 p/p), LaCucina (free) Have a great time. F5Loar Posted June 5, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 5, 2007 Is Cagney's cheaper for Penthouse people? I thought everybody paid $20 each and $25 if you got the good stuff.
watchdiva Posted June 5, 2007 #4 Share Posted June 5, 2007 Read some of the recent Pearl Alaska reviews (I think at least one cc'er had a suite). We had an A3 and it was fantastic..........on our sailing Cagney's was open for suite pax for both breakfast and lunch as well.

kootz Posted June 6, 2007 #9 Share Posted June 6, 2007 If you are in a suite can you order dessert from a specialty restaurant to have in your room? We love Bananas Fosters...
amy&ryan Posted June 6, 2007 #10 Share Posted June 6, 2007 I just came back from May 27th Pearl - the Pearl was great. There was nothing that could have made it better - I was very impressed with all the staff and the itinerary. Cagney's was very good - I thought it was worth the cover charge. La Cucina wasn't my favorite, but not a big deal since there were so many other choices. I really enjoyed Mambo's (ate there twice) - the Fajitas were excellent. The two dining rooms, Indigo and Summer Palace, were both also good. I preferred the atmosphere of Indigo - but both offered a nice meal. Weather was very good! If you are apt to get cold you should take layers so that you are able to pull off as you warm up. In Ketchikan there was hardly a cloud in the sky - we actually among many who laid by the pool as we sailed from there. It was a little chilly and wet in Juneau, but my fleece pullover and long sleeved shirt was enough. Victoria was warm - we made the walk (around 25 minutes) from the boat to downtown very comfortably. I wore shorts and a fleece and my wife wore jeans and a long sleeve shirt. F5Loar Posted June 6, 2007 #13 Share Posted June 6, 2007 Okay conflicts above on Cagney's for lunch for suites and above status. Some say only breakfast, others say breakfast and lunch at no charge. Which is it? Hate to confuse the original poster about perks. I guess we've agreed the price is not $15 for Penthouse people for dinner at Cagney's but the regular $20 charged all categories.
