crazycruzer68 Posted June 6, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2007 I have shopped all the better stores around here for swimsuits and can't find one, any suggestions online? Also, do you think that swimsuits with skirts on them just draw more attention to your tummy or hide it?
nlb1050 Posted June 6, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 6, 2007 You can try: Catherines, Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug (they do have plus sizes), swimsuitsforall. I don't like the suits with the skirts because I feel they add more wight to my upper thighs.
natalie2727 Posted June 6, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 6, 2007 http://www.junonia.com used to be great for larger swimwear, but they don't have as large a selectin as they used to have. But check it out. Also, Lands End has plus-size swimwear.
ShedQueen77 Posted June 6, 2007 #4 Share Posted June 6, 2007 I bought this one at JCPenney. I didn't think the skirt part would be too flattering but I think it looks really nice and it helps with the "baby belly" I have. Also, IMHO, the halter type top draws attention away from my problem areas and puts it where I don't have a problem, my chest! :D I also second Fashion Bug. I shop our local store and they have a lot of nice, flattering, and in style clothes/swimwear in plus sizes.

trarecar Posted June 6, 2007 #9 Share Posted June 6, 2007 I would google and put your cup size or maybe the size you know you wear in swimsuits, like 40DD swimsuit or size 18 swimsuit or XL swimsuit. You will find a lot of different online stores. And don't forget ebay!
kittymom65 Posted June 6, 2007 #10 Share Posted June 6, 2007 nordstrom.com normally has several to choose from--there were several on sale the other day
FinelyRetired Posted June 6, 2007 #11 Share Posted June 6, 2007 Try http://www.cyberswim.com. Seems to be a very extensive plus-size, Cup-size selection. It is highlighted on their Homepage. Lot's of Miracle Suits. Martha
kidznp Posted June 7, 2007 #12 Share Posted June 7, 2007 I just got a Lands End catalog in the mail today and they have a huge assortment of swim separates in all sizes (petites, misses, womens) and you can buy the pieces separately. They have a variety of tops, full coverage and skirt type bottoms and matching skirts that you could wear as a cover up. They also have an 800 number with a swimwear specialist to help you decide what would be best for your needs.

c_renee Posted June 8, 2007 #15 Share Posted June 8, 2007 www.justmysize.com has some cute ones.
MilliesMom Posted June 8, 2007 #16 Share Posted June 8, 2007 http://www.qvc.com carries swimsuits too in plus sizes. They have a 30 day return quarantee also. Read the fine print when ordering a swimsuit on-line or thru a catalog (as well as when purchased at a store). "some" stores will not allow returns on a swimsuit. It has something to do with healthcode rules that once purchased and returned, it cannot be resold to another customer.
AZPam Posted June 8, 2007 #17 Share Posted June 8, 2007 Check out http://www.swimsuitsforall.com They carry every size and have a great plus size department. I've ordered 2 or 3 suits from them and was very happy with what I got.

cruisersnorkler Posted June 9, 2007 #20 Share Posted June 9, 2007 I have ordered my bathing suits from QVC Shopping. They are really nice. They have a size chart so you can be sure your getting the right size. Their medium is like a large at JC Penny. You can also return it for 30 days--no questions asked. They have suits for all sizes.I get the ones with the skirt because I don't like my upper leg showing. I think I look much thinner in them.
