Teleferic cable cars in Barcelona

Recommended Posts

I would like whatever information you can provide on the teleferic cable cars in Barcelona. Where should we get on to get to the castle? Where should we NOT get on? Etc.

Thank you.

We went on the cars on Saturday and it was very busy. We got on at Jaume 1, in the middle by the World Trade Centre. We wanted to do a round trip to the beach end and then up to the Montjuic stop and back to Jaume 1. it was listed in the prices at the ticket office but the man would not let us, in broken English. We had to get a return from Jaume 1 to the park. We queued for 15-20 minutes to get on the car and then for about 20-25minutes to return from the park again. it might have been better to have got on at the beach end, St Bartolome??? and then gone through to the park. It's quite a walk to the castle or there are other cable cars up to the castle further through the park again. You need to look at a detailed map to plan really. Hope this helps!
