Rare patrice1 Posted June 9, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 9, 2007 It really is an awesome sight, isn't it? We lived in Daytona for awhile & used to drive our car onto the beach & lay on the hood to watch. Yes, certainly a great start to a cruise!:D
bnt Posted June 9, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 9, 2007 The space shuttle took off tonight? Wouldn't have known that if you hadn't posted, it's all Paris Hilton all the time on the news right now.
MrPete Posted June 9, 2007 #4 Share Posted June 9, 2007 I am jealous! We almost had an opportunity to see a liftoff two years ago, and they kept on moving the launch date. I've YET to see one. :(
skyscanr Posted June 9, 2007 Author #5 Share Posted June 9, 2007 I have been waiting a long time for the chance. Living in california before they changed the landing pattern, we used to watch the reentry over us and see the bright plasma trail it left . But now I got to see a launch and in a few hours will be on the glory. I will try to post some pics later and if i can find a way to post the short video I will .
